The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti , Hon Olusola Michael Oniyelu after taken oath of office promised to replicate the good works of Governor Oyebanji in Ifeloju LCDA.
Hon. Oniyelu while fielding questions from journalists at the venue of the swearing- in at Osuntokun Pavilion, government house play ground, Ado Ekiti, said he would serve with the fear of God saying he would ensure residents of Ifeloju enjoy dividends of democracy.
According to the Chairman, “Local Government/ LCDA being the closest tier of Government to the people, I will ensure my people have access to facilities that would impact their lives while security of t lives, properties and their welfare would be given rapt attention ”
Hon Oniyelu hinted that being a former pay master in Local government service commission, he promised to embark on agressive revenue generation drive to complement the allocation of Ifeloju LCDA for developmental programmes. He said, I am elected to represent Governor Oyebanji in my LCDA, So I have to work assiduously to make my people feel government presence, doing this consciously will complement the good works of Governor Oyebanji.
The chairman appreciated God, Governor Oyebanji, Hon Kemisola Olaleye, Hon Sunday Adunmo and other political leaders who he said were instrumental to his emergence at the poll. He promised to initiate policies and programmes that would have direct impact on the people of his local council Development Area
.
Hon Oniyelu who pledged an unalloyed loyality to the Governor, saying he would not disappoint the confidence reposed in him.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Monisola Afuye, who represented the governor had tasked the thirty eight chairmen to prioritize security and work on internally generated Revenue to complement what government would give them to develop their various local Government. The Deputy Governor stressed that Governor Oyebanji would not tolerate security lapse from any Local government/ council. While admonishing them to consolidate on the achievements of their predecessors, said he would not like abandoning any ongoing project.
The governor congratulates the newly sworn in chairmen while promising total support at all times, charged them to relate well with their constituents.
