The Olukere of Odo Oja, Ikere Ekiti, Oba Ayodele Abdulganiyu Obasoyin has felicitated Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-Kabir Celebration.
In a Congratulatory message, Oba Obasoyin described the Eid el-Kabir festivity as a period of sacrifice, sharing, and caring.
He enjoined the faithful to continue to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, love, unity of purpose, and obedience as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and upheld by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Royal Father who noted that although this year’s celebration is coming at a period the nation is still grappling with security challenges maintained that such should not distract the people from learning the good lessons of the festival which teaches compassion, selflessness, love, and obedience to the commands of Almighty Allah.
The Olukere urged the people to be security-conscious and report any act of breach of law and order capable of threatening the prevailing peace in the state while expressing his support for the quest of the South West to produce the next President of the Country come 2023.
Oba Ayodele Obasoyin lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Ekiti State Government for the peaceful conduct of the June 18 Ekiti governorship election and prayed for the success of the incoming government of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji & Chief Monisade Afuye
