As Christians all over the world celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Hon Olusola Michael Oniyelu, has urged Christians to inculcate lessons of the season in their daily life and congratulated them for witnessing this year’s Easter in sound health and mind
Hon Oniyelu in a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Saturday, noted that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection was a sacrifice that was too important not to reflect in their ways of life, while calling on Christians to be compassionate to one another, Ifeloju LCDA Boss charged them to emulate the humble life of Jesus Christ who was tortured to death despite powerful to stop the crucification but chose to suffer for mankind to live.
The Chairman who enjoined christians, especially those in Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju and Ekiti state to be moderate and security conscious as they celebrate. He said” the crucification, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a lesson for all of us to renew our faith with Christ, live harmoniously with one another, assist ourselves and live simple. These are some of the lessons of this season and I advise us to inculcate them in our daily ways of life”
While congratulating Christians on the celebration, Hon Olusola urged them to pray for Ifeloju, Ekiti state and Nigeria to surmount the challenges bedeviling the progress of the three tiers of government. He reiterated his unalloyed commitment to ensure that inhabitants of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti enjoy more dividends of democracy in a secured atmosphere without fear.
The chairman who commended the people of Ifeloju and Ekiti state for solidly supporting the Governor for transforming Ekiti state and given sense of belonging to all and sundries, urged them to always pray for him to continue the good works.” Happy Easter to you all, God Almighty will spare us all to celebrate many on earth in good health ” The statement added.
