The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Edward Olanipekun, has disclosed that pharmacy programme would commence in 2024/2025 academic session.
Also charged the Dean, Faculty of Engineering to facilitate the process of commencing Mechatronics Engineering in the university.
Prof. Olanipekun disclosed these during the matriculation ceremony of the institution’s regular students for 2023/2024 academic session. He directed the Directorate of Works & Services to provide solar power to strategic locations to illuminate the nooks and crannies of the campus.
Prof. Olanipekun in a statement by the institution Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs,
Bode Olofinmuagun, described EKSU as one of the best sought after universities in Nigeria.
The statement reads” Professor Olanipekun advised the new students to be studious and avoid associating with any unregistered association on campus. He further warned the old students to desist from harassing, intimidating, or molesting the new students under any guise as any student found engaging in such anti-social behaviour would be made to face appropriate disciplinary action.
He also encouraged the new students to report any form of harassment or intimidation to the appropriate organ of the university for necessary action.
The Registrar of the university, Mr. Ife Oluwole administered the matriculation oath on the 6,738 new students”
