“My desire is to ensure my people enjoy dividends of democracy and in my own little way to contribute to the good works of the Executive Governor of Ekiti state, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is to give back to people that voted for me to represent them.”
The Councilor representing Ilupeju Ward 2, Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Hon Kayode Ogidi Emmanuel disclosed this while giving cash to members of his Ward during the weekly meeting.
Hon Kayode Ogidi said” I set aside a large portion of my salary to appreciate those that voted for me. Good representation starts by appreciating your people with the little you are earning, even the bible advised us to cater for the needy. Nigeria would be a better place to live ,if the government appointees at all levels( local Government to Federal level) could make it points of duty to cater for those they are representing.
Governor Oyebanji cannot satisfy everyone in Ekiti but our little contributions at all times would go a long way to make our party, APC, a friendly party that cares for the masses, especially during this hard time, it would ameliorate people’s suffering”
The Councilor urged the beneficiaries to manage the cash given to them while promising those that are yet to be captured to exercise patience, he said every member of the party and non members would enjoy dividends of democracy.
Hon Ogidi, further admonished Ilupeju Ward 2 members to stand firm with Governor Oyebanji whom he described as God sent to open the state for more developments that would better the lots of Ekiti people.
Hon Ogidi appreciated APC party leaders who gave him the opportunity to represent his Ward, he promised not to disappoint them .
Earlier, Oye Local Government APC Chairman, Hon Samuel Ogunsakin had commended, Hon Ogidi for the kind gesture, saying he had done well for remembering his people. He urged members of the party to always attend Ward meetings in their large numbers. Adding that they should woo non members to join the victory movement of Governor Oyebanji .
Speaking in thesame vein, the Ward Chairman, Mr Amele Sola commended the Councilor for the gesture, saying it would not only make members believe in the leadership of APC but would.encourage non members to join the party.
Responding, Mrs Adesoro and Mrs Bosede who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries appreciated Hon Ogidi and prayed to God to lift him up politically.
