The one week activities lined up for Ilupeju Ekiti Day 2024 which coincides with the second year coronation of the Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, HRM, OBA SUNDAY DAVID AWE AKINGBADE and Launching of #100million Development Fund
takes place between 7 – 13 October, 2024.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of Ilupeju Ekiti Day 2024 planning committee, Mr Sola Ogunmiluyi, a retired Permanent Secretary and Mr Dele Adeyemi enjoined members of the public, particularly, sons and daughters of the town to attend the one week programmes.
The statement reads ,
This is to inform members of the Public that Ilupeju Ekiti Day 2024 celebrations have been scheduled to take place from Monday 7th- Sunday 13th October, 2024. The one week-long activities would feature many activities that would make the entire celebrations historic and memorable.
Highlights of the Programme are:
✓Monday 7th October, 2024, Environmental Sanitation Exercise in the Community.
✓Tuesday 8th October, 2024, Activities for the 2nd Coronation Anniversary of HRM Oba Sunday Awe Akingbade, the Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti.
✓Wednesday 9th October, 2024 Public Lecture on Use and Abuse of Drugs.
✓Thursday 10th October, 2024, Free Health Mission.
✓Friday, 11th October, 2024, Jumat Service
✓Saturday 12th October, 2024, Ilupeju Ekiti Day Celebrations . ✓Sunday 13th October, 2024, Thanksgiving Service.
The statement added that the events would afford sons and daughters of Ilupeju Ekiti, home and in diaspora to celebrate their traditions, history and cultural heritage.
