The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Ekiti State Chapter has described the two years of Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti state as transformative, impactful and building legacies that would remain permanent in the minds of Ekiti people.
In a congratulatory statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on 16th October, 2024, ALGON Chairman who’s also the Chairman of Ekiti East Local Government, Hon Ojo Oluwasegun Samuel and the new National ALGON Treasurer, congratulated the Governor, his wife , Deputy Governor and cabinet members on their second anniversary in office, attributed the sterling performance of the Governor in all sectors to the exceptional leadership and determination to genuinely serve Ekiti people.
The statement reads, “On behalf of Ekiti ALGON, we congratulate you sir as you celebrate your second anniversary. Your exceptional leadership and unweaving commitment for the development of Ekiti state and making lives better for her residents have shown that you are a God sent at this crucial time. Your outstanding performance in your six shared Prosperity agenda is a true reflection of your total dedication to meeting the core needs of Ekiti people.
It’s pertinent to mention some of your giant strides within two years in office to include; Massive road constructions and rehabilitations , electrification and reconnection of several communities that have been disconnected from national grid for decades, good health facilities, compulsory education for primary to secondary school students with conducive environment for learning, mechanized farming, massive employment and Empowerment, numerous infrastructure development, prioritizing workers welfare, prompt payment of salaries and above all adequate security of lives and properties.
We sincerely appreciate your unflinching support for the local Government Areas/ LCDA’s which has given room for massive development in our domains; the masses now enjoy dividends of democracy. We are confident that your leadership has not only transformed Ekiti, but it has restored hope, good governance, unity and progress. Indeed, Ekiti State is in safe hands and we shall continue to work harmoniously with you for more developmental projects and people’s oriented programmes for our dear people.
As you commence the next phase of good governance, we pray to God Almighty to give you sound health, protect you and endow you with the spirit of excellence to complete all the good works you have started and initiate more projects for mankind.
