A road accident involving a truck and a commercial vehicle has left several passengers injured at Fajuyi Junction in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The accident, was reportedly caused by a violation of traffic regulations. According to an eyewitness, the truck rammed into the commercial vehicle approaching from Iworoko Road, despite the traffic light giving the right of way to the vehicle.
The collision resulted in serious injuries to passengers onboard the commercial vehicle. Victims were promptly evacuated and taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
Following the accident, the truck was moved to Okesa Police Station for further investigation. Security operatives were quickly deployed to the scene to maintain law and order, as well as to manage traffic flow in the area. Authorities are yet to release an official statement as of the time of filing this report.
