
As the All Progressives Congress APC party extends its membership e- registration exercise earlier scheduled to end on Saturday, January 31, to February 8, 2026, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja, Honourable Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has commended the decision of the NWC of the party.
Speaking with Newsmen in Abuja, Akinlayo expressed optimism that the one week extension will enable more prospective registrants to be enrolled in the exercise.
The lawmaker who represents Ilejemeje, Moba and Ido/Osi in Ekiti North federal constituency 2 called on existing and new members of the party in his constituency that are yet to participate in the exercise to do so without further delay…..
Honourable Akinlayo who emphasized the massive empowerment scheme for his Constituents, medical outreach, payment bursary to students amongst others, expressed hope that such initiatives would draw more members into the party fold.
The empowerment materials given to constituents in recent time included: 150 sewing machines; 500 bags of 50kg fertilizers; 32 motorcycles; 150 grinding machines; 100 bundles of roofing sheets; 100 Elepaq generators; 128 knap sack spraying machines; 150 hair dryers; hundreds bundle of guinea brocade; hundreds bundle of Ankara; N50,000 cash gift to all the 32 ward chairmen, youth leaders, women leaders, and secretaries across the constituency; N50,000 cash gift to 320 widows i.e 10 widows per ward; N25,000 cash gift to 320 chieftaincy holders i.e 10 chieftaincy holders per ward; N25,000 cash gift to 750 students; N75,000 cash gift awarded to 21 exceptionally brilliant students, with cash gift to 100 students from Ikosu Grammar School.
According to Hon. Akinlayo, he chose to award the bursary so as to ease the financial burden of the students’ parents.
He added that party members stand to enjoy more deliverables soon as plans are underway to make them happier in their chosen endeavors
