All is set for the official launch of a new book on broadcasting by a veteran media professional, Alhaji Prince Amusa Rasaq Olayemi, as part of activities marking his 30th anniversary in the broadcasting industry.
Amusa, who is the Chief Executive Officer of P.R.O Communications, Ilupeju Ekiti, will present his book titled “Touchlight of the Broadcasters” to the public at a grand ceremony scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026.
The event, according to the author during a press briefing in Ado Ekiti, will take place at the main hall of Obalatan Commercial Grammar School, Ilupeju Ekiti.
Dignitaries from across various sectors are expected to grace the occasion. The Chairman of the day is Elder Banji Ogungbe, President of Ilupeju Ekiti Development Association, while the General Manager of Progress FM, Ado Ekiti, Dr. Mrs. Bola Adeniyi Agbaje, will serve as Chairperson.
Oloye Esan Ogunleye and Eyetu Folake Ogunleye have been named as the Father and Mother of the day, while Asiwaju Arc. Sir Dipo Ajayi and Yeye Oba Lady Alaba Ajayi will serve as Co-Father and Co-Mother of the day.
Traditional rulers billed to attend include the Apeju of Ilupeju Ekiti, Oba David Awe Akingbade; the Olosin of Osin, Oba Philip Oyediran; and the Owajumu of Omu Land, who will serve as Royal Fathers of the day. The Obanla of Ilupeju Ekiti, His Highness Kayode Ogunsola, will host the royal guests.
Highlight of the event will be a lecture to be delivered by the General Manager of Fresh FM, Akure, Mr. Dokun Ladele, who is expected to speak as the Guest Speaker. The book launch is anticipated to attract media practitioners, community leaders, and well-wishers from within and outside Ekiti State, as Alhaji Amusa celebrates three decades of impactful contributions to the broadcasting profession.
