Selected youths of Ilupeju Ekiti are currently undergoing two weeks intensive training on solar photovoltaic system design and installation which commenced on 10th July 2023 at Ilupeju Ekiti town hall.
While flagging off the training, the National president of Ilupeju Ekiti Development Associaion, Elder Banji Ogungbemi enjoined the youths to pay rapt attention to the training and make use of the golden opportunity to be self reliant and productive.
Elder Ogungbemi who pledged his unalloyed support for the successful trainenes after the training, said his administration would continue to explore opportunities that would enhance the future of Ilupeju Ekiti youths.
Also speaking at the programme, the National president of Ilupeju Youth Development Associaion, Engineer Femi Fagbemi hinted that everyone can not secure government jobs, hence the need to look for successful outfits like ASHDAM ACADEMY to train Ilupeju youths and thereafter empower the successful trainees to be self dependent so as to contribute their quota to the development of the town.
Stressing that at the end of the training, Ilupeju Ekiti would be light up, saying the youths would be able to design and install solar that would be errected on the streets and houses in the community. Adding that darkness caused by power outage would a thing of the past in Ilupeju Ekiti.
He further urged the thirty-six trainees selected from all the quarters in the town to give necessary attention to the training for them to be able to impact knowledge acquired to others after the training. He appreciated the leadership of IDA, Ilupeju Ekiti for sponsoring the programme and those that have contributed both in cash and kind to the success of the programme.
On his part, the Director of Media of IYDA, Joseph Oluropo Ojo, opined that the Programme was first of its kind in the entire Ekiti State to be organised by a community, saying Ilupeju Ekiti is a pace- setter and progressive town that ensures her inhabitants are tailored towards greatness in all facets of life.
He admonished the youths to utilize the opportunity optimally to promote themselves and by extension Ilupeju Ekiti.
Some of the trainees applauded the initiative of Ilupeju youths Development Associaion and IDA for packaging such a lofty training that would better their lives. They prayed God to reward their sponsors bountifully while promising to utilize the opportunity maximally.
The training will end on 21st July 2023.
