Federal University of Technology, Akure ( FUTA), Akure, Ondo state Alumni Association has called on Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB ) to properly check its records with a view to clearing Basola Owoduni Jamiu of allegation of gaining admission into the institution through the back door which made the body denied him registration for NYSC.
In a statement by the President and Secretary of the Association, Engr Adeyemi Bello and Secretary , Samuel Ojo Omoniyi exonerated Basola Owoduni of the allegations .
The leadership of the Association noted that all background checks have been done to ascertain the eligibility of the alumnus of the school who was said to have been denied registration for NYSC mobilization . The statement reads” After a thorough internal check with FUTA management , we are convinced that the boy was duly admitted without any trace of fraud. We therefore called on JAMB to check their records or present the basis for the allegation to the public as we cannot fold our hands and watch the hard earned of our Alma Mater reputation dragged on the mud, FUTA had no such case since it’s inception.”
While assuring the embattled boy of its unweaving support, the Association’s echelon promised to do everything to salvage the name of the school from the bad Impression the mixed up might have caused the prestigious institution.
