The Online Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ekiti state Chapter, has presented an award of excellence to the Chairman, LA ABBEY GROUP OF COMPANY , Mr Oniyelu Abiodun Emmanuel.
Presenting the award on Sunday in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman Online Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Ayodele Abere commended Mr Oniyelu Abiodun for his philanthropic activities that have positively impacted on thousands of people across the globe.
Pointing out that NUJ is never one of the professional bodies that believe in giving award frivolously, Comrade Abere in his remark described Oniyelu as one of the illustrious sons of Ekiti living outside the country, that has continued to better the life of his people locally and internationally.
As biblically confirmed that honour should be given to whom honour it is due, it’s against this backdrop that the Online Media Chapel of NUJ deemed it fit to honour this international businessman who has been exceptional in humanitarian gesture.
The chairman stated that the likes of Abiodun Oniyelu are few in the society, especially in this part of the world where people are struggling to make ends meet, let alone using their hard earned resources to empower the masses .
He appealed to well-to-do individuals in the country to emulate Mr Abiodun Oniyelu’s good intention of making life bearable for all, both old and young
Comrade Abere remarked that Nigeria will be a better place if welfare of the masses is well priotized.
Abiodun Oniyelu, a native of Ilupeju Ekiti has blessed so many people in Ekiti and Nigeria in various ways such as; empowerment, scholarship to students, financial assistance to petty traders to boost their businesses and several others with personal needs.
He’s a great gift not only to Ilupeju Ekiti where he hails from, but Ekiti State in particular, and Nigeria as a Country having contributed handsomely to the development of his town, Ilupeju Ekiti, his State and Nigeria, his country.
Responding, Mr Abiodun Oniyelu dedicated the award to his Maker and family, he said the recognition would further spur him to do more in raising masses particularly the downtrodden by ensuring that he redoubles his effort at more contributions to the development of his home town, Ilupeju Ekiti, Ekiti State and Nigeria.
He appreciated Online Media Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ekiti State for digging deep into his little contributions to the society which necessitated the award of excellence conferred on him.
