The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) holding in Washington, D.C., from Monday, October 13.
Mr. Cardoso, who serves as Nigeria’s Alternate Governor at the Bretton Woods institutions, will represent the country in place of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, who is currently indisposed.

(Information and Strategy ) Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite is part of Nigeria delegation .
According to the World Bank, highlights of the Annual Meetings include the Development Committee Plenary Session scheduled for October 16, and the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) meeting on October 17.
The week-long engagement will also feature regional briefings, press conferences, and high-level fora focusing on global economic developments, international finance, and strategies for sustainable development.
