The immediate past chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba has congratulated his successor, Hon Olusola Michael Oniyelu as he resumed work today.
Comrade Ogunmilugba in a statement, wished the new Chairman God’s wisdom, good health to succeed, while expressing confidence in the new Chairman that he will discharge his duties with the fear of God and make life bearable for the people by initiating programmes, policies and projects that will make the LCDA maintain its leading role in Ekiti State. The statement reads, “no doubt my brother will perform excellently based on his experience in the Local Government service, however, I admonish you to prioritize the security of the five communities that make up Ifeloju LCDA”
” The already established and equipped ‘Lion Sqaud’ and Amotekun in the LCDA are to complement government security forces; police and Civil defense.It’s on this note, I advise you to maintain, sustain and further energize them for peace and orderliness in: Ilupeju, Itapa, Osin Omu and Ijelu Ekiti.
While appreciating unalloyed support and cooperation of the kings, indigenes- home and in the diaspora, the local government staff during his reign, Comrade Ogunmilugba urged them to extend such support and cooperation to his successor. He stressed that in governance, no one is an island, saying everybody is important and as such, they must be carried along .
Comrade Ogunmilugba further reiterated his unwavering support for the new Chairman, wishing him a successful tenure in office.
