Ekiti State Government in Collaboration with the Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS), has organized SPEED Start-up programme designed to support stakeholders in the healthcare sector, mentorship and funding on eradication of HIV/AIDS and related diseases in Ado Ekiti.
In her opening remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Human Services, Pharmacist Olabisi Arogundade said, the support of ECEWS for the past few months the programme started has created innovative solutions that address some of the challenges facing health system in Ekiti State.
She noted that the start-up programme was a clear indication of the state government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in the state .
Pharmacist Arogundade advised the Stakeholders and the 10- line Ministries that are working together for the eradication of HIV virus, to improve on data management to achieving quality data capacity system with an assurance of government support when needed.
Earlier at the meeting, the General Manager of State Aids Control Agency (EKSACA), Dr Charles Doherty in his goodwill message, commended ECEWS team for their support and hard work.
The SACA Boss complained about drastic reduction in the area of finance and advised the proper usage of the available resources by health facilities in the state.
The Coordinator of Network of People lLiving With HIV/AIDS in the state (NSPWHAN), Pastor Oluwole appreciated government and ECEWS for their support towards people living with HIV/AIDS, prayed God to uphold the organisation for more humanitarian services to the society.
