Ekiti State Deputy governor, Mrs Monisade Afuye has described the State House of Assembly election as important for good governance in Ekiti , Saying the election will usher a legislative body that will harmoniously work with governor Biodun Oyebanji to provide more dividends of Democracy to the people.
Mrs Afuye who cast her vote at 9.45 a.m at ward one, unit three, Elemi-OdoHall, Akamuja ,Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, said she hoped for an impressive voters turnout and peaceful elections.
Mrs Afuye appreciated the effectiveness of BVAS which according to her had given more credibility to the execise.
“The election is going-on well, and it is paramount to the government of Ekiti State because the lawmakers will work directly with the governor of the State. And we need to have our Assembly together with my boss, Biodun Abayomi for the smooth running of the State. My assessment is that due to the good work of the governor, people are out in their numbers to vote. I hope APC will win”.
