The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the preliminary display of voters register in Ekiti state starting from Friday 6th to 12th March, 2026 at
designated centres in all the 177 Wards .
In a statement by Resident Electoral Commissioner INEC, Ekiti State,
Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi on Thursday. The statement
wishes to inform the general public, political parties, civil society organisations and all relevant stakeholders that the Preliminary Register of Voters for Ekiti State will be displayed for public inspection, claims and objections across the State.
The REC said the display of register would allow eligible voters to verify their details on the register and ensure its accuracy in preparation for upcoming electoral activities in the State.
Adding that during the exercise, the Commission will attend to Verification of names and personal information on the register,
Correction of errors in names, dates of birth and other particulars
Claims by eligible voters whose names were omitted from the register.
The statement stressed
Objections to the inclusion of ineligible persons, including deceased individuals and underage registrants, while encouraging all registered voters, political parties and stakeholders to actively participate by visiting the designated display centres within their respective wards to confirm and, where necessary, update their details.
The Commission reassures the people of Ekiti State of its unwavering commitment to a credible, transparent and inclusive voters’ register as part of its preparations for future elections.The commission advised members of the public to contact the nearest INEC office in the State for any enquiry.
