Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, (ALGON), Ekiti state chapter, and Executive Chairman of Ekiti East Local Government, Omuo Ekiti, Hon Oluwasegun Ojo has charged Ekiti residents, indigenes, home and in the diaspora to support the transformative work of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
ALGON chairman who hinted that the massive infrastructural development, human capacity and good governance currently witnessed in Ekiti state could only be done by a visionary and God fearing Governor.
Hon. Ojo disclosed these on Thursday during the inauguration of thirty- two Aids in Omuo Ekiti to complement his efforts at ensuring residents enjoy dividends of democracy.
The Local Government Boss urged the newly inaugurated assistants to move closer to members of the Local Government with the aim of knowing their pressing needs for implementation. He said” Your duties are to be my ears among residents of Ekiti East for us to let government know their needs and press for implementation.
“Governor Oyebanji’s support for grassroot development in Ekiti state is highly commendable and we are striving hard to ensure every resident enjoy the good moment to the fullest”
It’s on this note, I charge you all to work hard for the second term of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s shared prosperity Agenda, his laudable achievements are feasible in all towns and villages in Ekiti state”
APC Chairman in Ekiti East Local Government, Chief Clement Ojo, appreciated the leadership style of the Local Government Boss for representing Governor Oyebanji well. “Ekiti East witnessed tremendous development during your reign and again the 32 Aids you appointed and inaugurated will help deepen good governance as you said. Almighty God will continue to increase your knowledge and you will not be stranded in life”. To the Ward chairmen, work has started, let’s commence meeting and mobilization for our progressive governor”
Speaking on behalf of the newly appointees, Mr. Ayeni Ojo, thanked the ALGON Chairman, promised not to betray the trust he had in them, adding that they are already commtted to the second term of Mr Governor , Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
KEHINDE FASIKU, the information officer, Ekiti East Local Government noted that, the event was graced by several dignitaries from the Local Government including, the APC party Chairman, Chief Clement Ojo, Secretary to the Local Government Hon. Olajide Akindele, Chief, Mrs. Idowu Adedoyin (Iyaloja of Omuo Ekiti), as well as Supervisors, Councillors and Advisers.
