Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Ekiti State Chapter has endorsed Governor of Ekiti state, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for second term.
ALGON hinged its endorsement on the exceptional leadership of the governor and his total commitment to the well being of Ekiti residents. The Association solicited prayers and support of Ekiti residents for the Governor to continue his transformative programmes in the state
In a communique jointly signed by ALGON CHAIRMAN /EKITI EAST LG CHAIRMAN, Hon. Oluwasegun Ojo
AND SECRETARY/IGBARA ODO OGOTUN CHAIRMAN, Hon. Bukola Olowolaju commended the Governor for his numerous achievements in Ekiti State.
The communique reads, “Vote of confidence was passed on Governor Oyebanji due to his exceptional leadership, profound commitment to the well being of Ekiti citizens which has chartered a clear vision for the future of Ekiti State within a short time.
We confirmed how the Governor has kept faith with the 6 pillars of his administration, witnessing significant advancements in infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, education alongside the steadfast dedication to economic development and social justice.”
Also, ALGON Chairman commended the Governor on
his inclusive policies and innovative initiatives that has laid solid foundation for long-term prosperity and brighter future. He lauded Oyebanji’s method of handling Local Government Areas and LCDAs affairs beyond the shores of Ekiti State.
In a related development, ALGON Secretary who moved the motion for endorsing Oyebanji for second term, affirmed that Ekiti State Governor never touched Local Government funds even before the Supreme Court verdict on financial autonomy. She added that Oyebanji is one of the three Governors in Nigeria that support Local Government autonomy.
Also, the ALGON Treasurer/Ikole West Chairman Hon. Mosunmola Adeyemo and Ado Central Chairman Hon.Toyin Ojo said the endorsement was imperative for the total transformation of Ekiti state. The duo commended the exemplary virtues of the Governor.
