The former Deputy Governor of Ekiti state, Prof Kolapo Olusola ELEKA has resigned his membership from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
In a resignation letter addressed to the chairman of his ward in Ikere Ekiti ward 002, Eleka hinged his resignation on inability of PDP to provide leadership and credible opposition to All Progressives Congress, saying he could not continue staying in a party that lacks direction.
Prof Eleka who was the Deputy Governor to Former Governor Ayodele Fayose and lost to former Governor Fayemi in 2018 election .He appreciated his supporters and party leaders for given him the platform to attain stardom while he didnot give direction the party he will pitch tent with as 2026 and 2027 elections gather serious momentum .
Recall, some of the bigwigs of PDP in Ekiti state have joined African Democratic Congress.
