Prominent media practitioners, government officials and union leaders in Ekiti State on Sunday, December 14, 2025, gathered in Ado-Ekiti to celebrate the 50th birthday and 20th wedding anniversary of Mrs. Ayodele Aladesuyi, a seasoned broadcaster with Radio Nigeria, Progress FM 100.5, Ado-Ekiti.
Among dignitaries who showered encomiums on the celebrant were the Director-General of Community Communication, Ekiti State, Mrs. Mary Osho Omotosho; former Permanent Secretary, Mr. Sola Ogunmiluyi; General Manager, Progress FM, Dr. Bola Agbaje; Head of Programmes, Progress FM, Mrs. Fatimo Bello; and the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ekiti State Council, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi, alongside other colleagues, friends and family members.
Speakers at the event described Mrs. Aladesuyi as a quintessential professional, whose five decades of life reflect dedication, integrity and service to humanity. They praised her as a broadcaster who has consistently upheld the ethics of journalism, noting that her commitment to truth, accuracy and fairness has earned her respect within and beyond the media industry.













In her remarks, Mrs. Omotosho extolled the celebrant’s unwavering dedication to duty, describing her as a woman of courage and conviction who speaks truth without fear or favour. She added that Mrs. Aladesuyi’s blunt, no-nonsense disposition, combined with her deep sense of responsibility, has made her a dependable voice in Ekiti’s broadcast space.
Similarly, Dr. Agbaje and Mrs. Bello applauded her professionalism, reliability and factual approach to programme delivery, stressing that she remains a role model to younger broadcasters and a stabilizing force within Progress FM.
The NUJ Chairman, Comrade Babatuyi, noted that beyond her professional excellence, Mrs. Aladesuyi has distinguished herself as a woman of character, whose uprightness and discipline reflect the core values of journalism and public service.
The celebration also highlighted her family life, as speakers described her as a loving and supportive wife, whose marriage stands as a testament to commitment, understanding and mutual respect.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Mrs. Aladesuyi thanked God for His faithfulness and appreciated colleagues, friends and family for their love, support and kind words, reaffirming her commitment to professionalism and service to humanity.
The twin celebration was marked with prayers, goodwill messages and joyous moments, as admirers joined the golden jubilarian in thanking God for a fulfilled life of purpose, impact and excellence.
