The Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Ekiti state Wing, Comrade Daodu Bamidele Olaitan has felicitated Christians on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The chairman who congratulated Christian teachers in Ekiti State on witnessing 2024 Easter celebration in sound health and mind, urged them to practice all the lessons and teachings of the season in discharging their duties as future builders.
Comrade Daodu in a statement said the crucification, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ exemplified ; love, self-denial and sacrifice, called for sober reflection, being closer to God, harmonious living with one another embedded in humility. He enjoined Ekiti teachers to use the holidays to reconcile their ways with God and pray for God intervention in teaching profession.
The NUT chairman further solicited prayers for the governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji for not only providing conducive learning atmosphere in Ekiti state, but facilitating necessary support for teachers.
The Union’s helmsman assured the teachers that he would always provide quality leadership to his members across the state. He appreciated their unflinching support, while renewing the appeal for continued esprit-de-corps in the interest of the education sector.
