The Ekiti State Police Command has received 31 newly commissioned Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Cadet Officers posted to the state to strengthen security operations.
The officers, who are members of the 7th Regular Course of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, were formally received on Thursday by the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Joseph Eribo, following their recent presidential commissioning.
In a statement made available to journalists by Ekiti state PPRO, SP Abutu Sunday said CP Eribo charged the newly posted officers t to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force by exhibiting discipline, professionalism, integrity and fairness in the discharge of their duties. He stressed the need for strict adherence to the rules of engagement and respect for the fundamental rights of citizens, while emphasizing zero tolerance for corruption.



The Commissioner further urged the officers to remain dedicated to service and to place the protection of lives and property of residents of Ekiti State above all other considerations.
CP Eribo expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for the deployment of additional manpower to the Command, noting that the development would significantly enhance the operational capacity of the Ekiti State Police Command.
Responding on behalf of the officers, the newly posted ASP Cadets thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force for the opportunity to serve the nation and pledged their commitment to professionalism, discipline and effective service delivery.
The posting of the new officers is expected to further boost policing and security operations across Ekiti State.
