The Ekiti State Coordinator of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Hon. Sunday Jejelowo Adunmo, has congratulated Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, wife of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, as she celebrates her birthday today.
In a statement released to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, Hon. Adunmo described Erelu Fayemi as “a tireless advocate, a movement, a beacon of hope and strength not only for the people of Ekiti State but across the globe .”
He highlighted Erelu Fayemi’s legacy of service, particularly her relentless advocacy for women’s rights, gender equality, social justice, and community development. Saying “Her Excellency has used every platform available to her to amplify the voices of the voiceless, empower the vulnerable, and challenge systems that perpetuate inequality and marginalization.”
Applauding Erelu Fayemi’s numerous achievements, Hon. Adunmo stressed that she was instrumental to passage of several landmark legislations in Ekiti State, such as the Gender-Based Violence (Prohibition) Law, the Equal Opportunities Law, and the HIV Anti-Stigma Law. He emphasized that these legal interventions have far reaching positive impacts in the live of the masses, communities, Ekiti and Nigeria.
The RAAMP Coordinator also commended the former Governor’s wife unwavering commitment to education, health, and economic empowerment initiatives through the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) and other international platforms. Erelu Fayemi’s voice has consistently called for justice, dignity, development and safer Nigeria for all,” he stated.
While wishing the celebrant sound health and long life , Hon.
