The President of the Association of Retired Heads of Service (HOS) and Permanent Secretaries (P.S) in Ekiti State, Mr. Oluomo Oluwole Ariyo, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for prompt payment of pension and increment to retirees in the state .
Oluomo gave the commendation during the association’s new Year Get Together and prayers held at Sanni Abacha Hall, Old Governor’s office, Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday.
He applauded Governor Oyebanji for approval of welfare packages and marginal increase in pension of retirees across the board, saying the governor has made Ekiti proud.
He however called for a review that would align the pensions of former heads of service and permanent secretaries in both federal and state levels with the realities of the new minimum wage.

Folakemi Olomojobi urged the senior citizens to prioritize their health and avail their successors experience whenever they are called upon.

Mrs. Janet Ajibola, said Ekiti civil service needed the experience of the senior citizens to further advance the State service .
On his part, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners,
Comrade Popola Temitope, appreciated the services of the senior citizens to Ekiti state. He prayed to God to grant them sound health and long life to reap the fruits of their hard labour.
Highlights of the event was prayers for the retirees, Ekiti State and Nigeria at large.
