The Anti-Vehicle Theft Section(AVTS) of the Ekiti state Police Command has arrested two persons for stealing a Toyota Corolla 2009 model from Ilomu- Ekiti.
Taiwo Johnson and Ibrahim Aderinto were arrested at Kajorepo-ibadan, Oyo State
on the 21st, January, 2025.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP ABUTU SUNDAY said one Taiwo Johnson and Ibrahim Aderinto were arrested for conspiring and stealing one Toyota Corolla 2009 model from where it was parked at the owners compound in ILOMU -EKITI.
The statement added that the vehicle was stolen by Unknown thieves from his compound on 03/01/2025
The suspects, during investigation, confessed to the commission of the crime and led the operatives to recover the stolen vehicle.
Advising the general public to be vigilant at all times, the Command implores everyone to be conscious of their environment and report any suspicious person found loitering their environs to the Police, members of the public especially car owners are advised to be conscious and practice all car security measures such as: registering with the Force Central Motor Registry(CMR), installing tracking device, parking in the best places possible, installing tyre locks, amongst others.
