
The Executive Chairman of Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akinwumi has joined others to congratulate Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as he celebrates his 58th birthday.
Prof. Akinwumi in a congratulatory message described the governor as a visionary leader whose commitment to education and good governance has transformed the state’s basic education sector.
Highlighting the stewardships and commitment of the governor to the development of basic education, the chairman said Governor Oyebanji’s purposeful leadership has prioritized teachers’ welfare, school infrastructure, and instructional facilities, significantly impacting teaching and learning outcomes.


The SUBEB Boss noted that the calm disposition, inclusive governance style and unwavering support of the governor for SUBEB have ensured timely payment of counterpart funds for effective driving and successful implementation of basic education programmes across the state.
“Governor Oyebanji is a visionary leader, a people-oriented administrator, and a champion of education” Prof. Akinwumi said.
He stated that the governor’s background which is surrounded by professional teachers, has instilled a passion for education, love for teachers and unparalleled interest in giving the youngsters the hope of a brighter future, describing it as the driving force behind his administration’s huge investments in the sector.
“As we celebrate Governor Oyebanji’s milestone birthday, I on behalf of my family, SUBEB Commissioners and the entire staff of the board pray for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and good health. We look forward to more achievements in the education sector and impactful service to Ekiti people under his leadership”.
