The Chairman DCC, Christ Apostolic Church, Ado Ekiti, Pastor Joel Adedeji has charged the congregation to live Christ ‘like’ life for them to leave legacies that would glorify God.
Saying, the living should always remember that one day they would give account of their stewardship on Earth to their creator.
The admonition was given at the service of song for Pa.Joshua Olusola Ojo- Eleka at his residence in Ikoyi Estate, Iro Quarters, Ikere Ekiti.
Pastor Joel Adedeji who titled his short sermon “The great Legacy” enjoined the congregation to serve God in truth and work on their salvation in Christ which would make them reign with God on the judgement day.
The clergy man asked the congregation what legacy they want to leave behind when they eventually die. “If you die today, what will the people around you say”?, ” The day you close your eyes, Heaven will not ask you how many cars or houses you have, Instead the salvation of your souls, your good deeds and lives you have impacted positively would be required to reign with Christ ”
Highlight of the service of songs which signals the commencement of the burial ceremony of the father of former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Olusola Eleka witnessed songs ministrations from different groups, testimonies from the deceased church members, childhood friends, families, children and neighbours among others.
Pa, Joshua Eleka died at the age of 90.
