The leadership and entire members of Old Students Association of Ede Muslim Grammar School have expressed delight in the promotion of Professor Mahboob Jimoh Alani Adekilekun to the esteemed position of Professor of Botany at Osun State University.
The association, in a statement jointly issued by the President, Alhaji Rasaq Olatunde Bello and the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Tijani Abdulraheem Adekilekun described the promotion of Professor Mahboob as well-deserving saying the life teacher has always been providing leadership at all spheres of life.
“This prestigious achievement is a testament to his tireless dedication, unwavering commitment to academic excellence, and unrelenting passion for the field of Botany.” The statement quoted.
“Professor Adekilekun’s academic journey is a remarkable one, with a strong foundation in Botany, Plant Virology, and Environmental Control & Management. His PhD in Botany from Rhodes University showcases his expertise and contributions to the field”. The statement concluded.
The association opined that as a Professor of Botany, he will continue to inspire and mentor students, shaping the next generation of botanists and researchers while also raising the flag of EMGS as a good ambassador.
While praying that his promotion will bring glory to Allah SWT and benefit humanity through his groundbreaking research and academic endeavors, the association extended their heartfelt congratulations to Professor Mahboob Adekilekun on this outstanding achievement.
The release noted that Professor Mahboob as remained a strong pillar of support for the association and their Alma mata, Ede Muslim Grammar School especially in ensuring that the school regained it’s lost academic glory in Osun State and beyond.
