A governorship aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State, Otunba Emmanuel Ajisafe Fayose, has condemned the disruption of the party’s primary election in Ikere-Ekiti, describing the incident as undemocratic, uncivilised and barbaric.
Fayose, who spoke to journalists at his country home in Afao-Ekiti on Thursday expressed confidence in clinching the party’s ticket despite the setback. He noted that ADC remains a credible alternative that is committed to addressing the challenges facing Nigerians.
According to him, ADC is founded on the principles of good governance and prioritizing welfare of the people, urging Nigerians to embrace the party and support its candidates in all elections.
“ADC is a party that prioritizes the well-being of the masses. We are prepared to offer honest leadership and genuine solutions to the problems bedevilling our nation. I call on Nigerians to support and vote for ADC candidates at all levels,” he said.
Fayose also commended the national leadership of ADC for what he described as its consistent efforts in positioning the party strategically ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He called on the people of Ekiti State to rally behind the ADC in the forthcoming governorship election, assuring them that the party is ready to deliver purposeful and people-oriented leadership.
