The leadership of Fayose market has exonerated the chairman of Ado Central, Hon Toyin Ojo from selling the lock-up shops he built for the Association for seven million naira
Speaking with Journalists on Wednesday during a peaceful protest organised by the Association, the caretaker chairman, Mr Adeleye Adekunle Samuel said the chairman only gave out each shop for five million naira, saying those that protested against the LCDA chairman for selling shop for 7 millon naira were enemies of progress. He stressed that it was in public knowledge that each shop was sold for #5 million.
While pleading with the chairman not to stop all the social amenities he promised the association, the caretaker chairman applauded Hon Toyin Ojo for his timely intervention in resolving the crises in the market which had not only restored peace in the market but attracted more social amenities. He added that the chairman had promised the market CCTV cameras at the entrances in the market, solar lights, adequate security and repair of the market roads.
Also speaking, Mr Kehinde Badmus one of the leaders and Pastor Nnudubisi Wonna, Chairman Ibo community in Fayose market applauded the leadership of Engineer Toyin Ojo, described him as one of the best leaders who has helped the market to transact their businesses in a conducive environment. The duo added that at no time did Engineer Toyin Ojo sell a shop for #7 million, they said those spreading falsehood were doing that to dent the name of the chairman.
The duo pleaded with the chairman not to stop the social amenities he promised them, saying they are in support of his administration. ” We will never allow these enemies of Fayose market to draw back the progress of the market, we respect your wisdom and will continue to support your government” The duo said .
While reiterating their unwavering and unalloyed support for the administration of Governor Oyebanji, the traders endorsed the governor for second term. They hinged their endorsement on the giant strides of the present administration on critical sectors to include: Infrastructure development, good governance, political stability and peaceful atmosphere of doing business.
Recalled, Few months ago, the Chairman of Ado Central, Engineer Toyin Ojo built fifty lock up shops in Fayose market with the promise to put in place more social amenities in the market.
