The Federal University of Technology, Akure on Thursday, 7th August 2025, inaugurated a new set of Alumni into the Board of the Alumni Trust Fund after the expiration of the former Board members. The Board is saddled with the endowment and raising funds for the growth of the university in areas of training, research, capacity building, and infrastructural development.
The FUTA Alumni President worldwide, Engr. Adeyemi Bello, in commended the University Vice Chancellor, Professor (Mrs) Temidayo Adenike Oladiji FAS, who doubles as the Patron of the Association, for her unflinching support to the growth of the Association. Also, appreciated the last board members under the leadership of Chief Engr. Segun Faleke, for their selfless service.
He admonished the new board members to use their wealth of experience and contacts to help grow the university.
Inaugurating the new board members comprising : Chief Engr. Cyril Ajagu Chairman Conau International Limited, An Engineering Firm that specialises in construction and asset management.
Professor Kayode B. Alese Information & Cybersecurity Expert and Lecturer/Dean School of Computing, FUTA, Member of the University Governing Council and Member of Editorial Board of Police Academic Journal.
Mrs. Olajumoke Ajayi: An Oil & Gas expert (Upstream industry), Former Managing Director, Asharami Energy Limited, Speaker Africa Assembly, MD Ingentia Limited and Elected President of Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists, NAPE.
Mr. Bunmi Oladunjoye is an expert in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and private equity. Accomplished business executive within the construction and banking industries.

The Vice Chancellor in her remarks thanked the President and all members of FUTA Alumni Association Worldwide for their support to the university community with different intervention projects and materials; in her words “supporting your Alma mater is not only when you give a billion naira project but all these little interventions the University had received were well appreciated”
The Chairman of the Board, Chief Cyril Ajagu, in his acceptance speech said the task is a call to service; pledged the assurance of his members towards the success of the Board while calling on all Alumni to give necessary support to the board.
He appreciated the Vice Chancellor and the University management for their efforts to maintain the university’s excellence. He charged all members to use their ideas and contacts to achieve the set goals.
