” A drop of water can make a mighty ocean” The governor of Ekiti state, Biodun Oyebanji has again supported small -scale business owners with a cash donation of N100,000 each.
Petty traders in Odo community benefited from the donation that was facilitated through the Bureau of Community Communications,
to expand their businesses .
The Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho, who led the distribution, said the kind gesture is part of Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to economic growth and development in the State.
In an unannounced visit to the seven beneficiaries including roadside sellers of roasted plantain, roasted fish, sachet water, among others, the DG explained that the traders, many of whom are not registered party members, have consistently expressed genuine admiration for Governor Oyebanji’s administration.
She noted that the exercise is another round of the special empowerment programme of the state governor for indigent petty traders to recognize their resilience and support.
Recall that residents of Ilawe-Ekiti had benefitted from the magnanimity of the state governor to uplift the living condition of the people as part of his six-point agenda.
One of the beneficiaries and Ejemu of Odo, Akinyede Olugbenga appreciated the state governor for boosting their businesses adding that the gesture has further exemplified their trust in his leadership and the impact of his good governance.
