A political support group in Ekiti State, BAO Movement has unveiled the member of the House of Representatives, Ekiti South II Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Femi Bamisile as its Patron.
Unveiling the lawmaker on Monday in Ado-Ekiti, the State Executives of the group, led by State Cordinator; Hon. Kehinde Boluwade “Bolics “ said that in choosing the reps member, the movement considered his strong support for the Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration.
Hon. Boluwade explained that the group deliberated extensively before arriving at his nomination adding that the move is part of the group’s strategic efforts to engage prominent Ekiti politicians in the movement towards the re-election of Governor Oyebanji.
His words: “BAO Movement was created in 2022 and played significant role in the 2022 gubernatorial electioneering campaigns for BAO . The governor showed immense appreciation to the group and that further spurred us to do more again for his re-election.”
“We have started our activities towards awareness creation for the Governor’s re-election. We just don’t want to fly alone and that is why we put some names down. We deliberated on different names and yours came as number one as the Patron of BAO Movement.”
In his acceptance speech, the reps member, who doubles as the Chairman, House Committee on Legislative Delegation , said that his nomination to serve as the Patron of BAO Movement aligns with his unapologetic support for Governor Oyebanji.
While heaping praises on Governor Oyebanji’s giant strides in developing the state, Bamisile commended the governor’s unparalleled efforts at championing the homogeneous traits of the state by uniting past governors for the growth of the state.
According to him, “I am an unapologetic supporter of Governor Oyebanji. For me as a person, borne out of goodness, hardwork, greatness, upliftment and betterment of Ekiti, I don’t know any other person. He has come and conquered in all fairness. “
“He has done the fundamental thing in the state that nobody can question. Outside of infrastructural developments and projects, Ekiti has been defined as homogeneous society before we were born. If we are that homogeneous, we should be one as a family. But up until the day he became governor, we were not one but divided in all spheres. He came and united everybody.”
Bamisile used the opportunity to charge the movement to intensify awareness creation and strengthen its activities while pledging to work with the Movement for the re-election of Governor Oyebanji.
The delegation of the BAO Movement includes: Hon. Boluwade Kehinde, Hon. Olukosi Muyiwa,Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotosho,; Mr. Olabanji Ojo, Princess Adejoke Adetoyinbo and Mr. Biodun Agboola.
