The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Hon Olusola Michael Oniyelu has said adequate security of lives and properties of residents of the LCDA would top his administration.
The chairman said,” Security of Ifeloju LCDA will be strengthened and fully supported for all of us to be safe while other programmes would be provided”
Hon, Oniyelu disclosed this when the executive of Ilupeju Youths Development Association paid him a courtesy visit at the LCDA secretariat on Tuesday evening. The chairman charged the youths to shun acts that could truncate the peace of the LCDA, saying he would not condone indiscipline in any form. He stressed that societal maladies had its root from indiscipline.
The chairman said, “I need your maximum co-operation to effectively discharge my duties, especially on the issue of security, avail me useful information and report strange movement to appropriate quarters for necessary actions”
Speaking on the demand of the youths, Hon.Oniyelu said his administration would put in place policies and programmes that would be beneficial to the youths. While reiterating their importance , the chairman said youths are the life wire of any progressive government, saying they would be engaged via empowerment and employment.
Hon, Oniyelu enlightened youths on tax payment and other necessary dues, which he said would boost the Internally generated Revenue of the LCDA.
Earlier, the National President of the Association, Engineer Femi Fagbemi had congratulated the chairman on his emergence as a youthful chairman and pledged unflinching support of the Association.
Engineer Fagbemi tasked the chairman on programmes and policies that would better the lives of youths of the LCDA. He commended the chairman for his support for IYDA before his elevation, urging him not to relent.
The secretary and Organising secretary of the Association,Taiwo Fabusuyi and Zacheus Aiyeleso urged the chairman to always make information available to them on issues relating to youths development.
Until his election as the Chairman of Ifeloju LCDA, Hon. Olusola Oniyelu was the Vice President of Ilupeju Ekiti Youth Development Association. All executive of the Association and Quarter leaders were in attendance.
