The Executive Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba voted at
Unit 006 Iloka, open space itapa/osin ward on Saturday during the Local Government and Local Council Development Area Election in Ekiti State.
Comrade Ogunmilugba who commended the peaceful conduct of the election, reiterated the importance of the exercise in community development and carrying masses along on Government policies and programmes.
The outgoing Chairman, described local government election as a veritable tool to deliver dividends of democracy to the masses at grassroots. Adding that Local government is a strategic and vital tier of government where developmental politics are being played, being the closest to the people.
Comrade Ogunmilugba assured residents of Ifeloju LCDA that he would work till the last minute of his administration, saying “We are putting finishing touches to some of the ongoing projects that will be commissioned before I leave, while interventions are going on in some sectors too”.I want you to know that having an election today does not connote that our tenure has come to an end. The chairman said.
While commending residents of Ifeloju for massive turnout for the Election, he assured them of Government resolved to always attend to their needs. He commended EKSIEC, police, community leaders for the success of the election.
