The Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ilupeju-Ekiti, Hon. Olusola Michael Oniyelu,has extended birthday wishes to Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, wife of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, describing her as “a trailblazer, a pillar of strength, and a tireless advocate for women and the downtrodden.”
In a congratulatory message, Hon. Oniyelu hailed Erelu Fayemi for her transformative role in championing the rights and participation of women in politics, her deep-rooted commitment to social justice, and her impactful community development programmes that have uplifted countless lives in Ekiti and beyond.
“Erelu Bisi Fayemi is a rare gift to our state and to humanity,” the Chairman stated. “Her steadfast support for women’s inclusion in governance and political leadership has reshaped the narrative in Ekiti State, inspiring many women to rise and take their place in the decision-making process.”
The Chairman also noted her numerous advocacy interventions that have directly improved the welfare of the people, particularly in areas of gender-based violence, education, health, and economic empowerment. He commended her for laying the foundation for policies and programmes that continue to touch lives positively, especially through her involvement in the Gender-Based Violence Prohibition Law and other life-changing initiatives.
“Through her voice and action, Erelu has built bridges of hope for the poor, the vulnerable, and the marginalized. Her advocacy transcends borders, but her heart has always remained with the people of Ekiti,” he added.
