The Chairman of Ifeloju Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ilupeju-Ekiti, Hon. Olusola Michael Oniyelu, has urged workers of the council to rededicate themselves to selfless service and sustained commitment to the people in the new year.
Hon. Oniyelu gave the charge on Monday during the 2026 New Year Thanksgiving and Prayer Session held at the council secretariat. He expressed deep appreciation to the management team, councillors and staff for their dedication and teamwork, noting that their collective efforts made it possible for his administration to deliver meaningful dividends of democracy to residents of the LCDA.

Emphasising that “a tree does not make a forest,” the chairman applauded the unflinching support and hard work of the council workforce throughout 2025. He encouraged staff to remain modest, value excellence and appreciate one another’s contributions, while cautioning against indiscipline, backbiting and laziness in the discharge of their duties.
Earlier in his exhortation, Woli Gbenga Oguntuase of Saint Moses Orimolade Church, Araromi, Ilupeju-Ekiti, admonished staff to cultivate a lifestyle of thanksgiving, stressing that gratitude to God attracts greater blessings. The cleric prayed fervently for the council workforce and prophesied positive things in their careers and personal lives.
He also offered special prayers for the chairman and his family, asking God to grant them wisdom, sound health, protection, divine guidance and abundant provision to continue serving the people of Ifeloju LCDA effectively.
The thanksgiving service climaxed with the chairman and council staff singing praises, offering prayers and dancing joyfully in gratitude to God as they committed the new year into God’s hands.
