The Executive Chairman of Ifesowapo Local Council Development Area, Isan Ekiti, Hon Muyiwa Ajibola has congratulated Muslims faithful in Isan Ekiti for witnessing this year Ramadan fasting.
The chairman who appreciated Allah on behalf of the people of Ifesowapo for the commencement of the holy exercise, tasked them to use the period to intercede for the peace and development of Isan Ekiti, Ekiti state and Nigeria.
In a statement, Hon Muyiwa charged Muslims across the globe to reflect on the teachings of Ramadan and show love to the less privileged, stressing that the
the essence of the holy month among others includes showing compassion and helping the needy.
He prayed to Allah to grant the Muslim faithful divine favour, blessings, strength to observe the fast and finish strong, assuring that after the spiritual exercise, his LCDA will witness more transformation .
The statement reads’ I enjoin Muslim faithful to use holy period to rededicate themselves to Almighty Allah and uphold the virtues of Islam. Let us use this period to pray for Isan, Ekiti and Nigeria.”
While reaffirming his administration’s commitment to religious inclusivity and peaceful coexistence, Hon Muyiwa pledged his continued support for initiatives that will promote inter religion activities, unity, peaceful coexistence and development.
