Parents of the kidnapped National Youth Corps members in Ifon -Owo express way in Ose Local Government of Ondo State have called on Governor Lucky AIYEDATIWA and NYSC officials to help them rescue their children unhurt .
Speaking with PRECISE NEWS on Sunday, two of the parents of the victims begged Government to wade into the matter, saying they may not be able to pay the three Millon naira ransom demanded with the two days ultimatum given them.
According to the parents (names withheld) “The Unknown gunmen who kidnapped commuters, including five National Youth Service Corps members at Ifon- Owo express way in Ose Local government of Ondo state on Thursday night have contacted and demanded #3 million ransom from us with an ultimatum to pay before Monday or loose our children ”
Confirming the abduction, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odunlami FUNMILAYO said the police officers have moved into the bush around Ifon to rescue the kidnapped victims.
Recall that on Thursday around 10:00 PM, five Corps members coming from Abia state were abducted alongside other commuters at Ifon;
the driver and one passenger were reported to have been shot dead when they attempted to escape.
