The Incorporated Igbo Traders Association, Ekiti State, has engaged renowned tax consultant, Prince Ayodele Adebolu Samuel, to lead an Enlightenment Workshop on the New Tax Laws (Act 2025), February 27, 2026.
The workshop is aimed at equipping traders, entrepreneurs, and business owners with up-to-date knowledge on taxation, compliance requirements, and strategies for sustainable business growth.
In a statement made available to Precise News, the Chairman and Public Relations Officer of the association, Prince Jonathan Ezenwaneriaku and Mr. Steven Okafor, said the programme is part of deliberate efforts to strengthen members’ understanding on tax obligations in line with current laws.
The workshop, themed “Tax Obligations, Responsibilities, Compliance, Sanctions and Tax Agents Engagement for Business Growth and Development,” is designed to help participants understand their statutory tax duties, avoid penalties, and leverage effective tax management for business expansion.
According to the statement, Prince Adebolu Samuel, a seasoned tax professional, consultant, and retired Director of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), will lead the session in collaboration with experts from the Ekiti State Revenue Service. Other resource persons include Mr. Emmanuel Akinleye, Head of Department, PAYE, and Amb. Oluwasegun Ogunsanya, Head of Department, Direct Assessment, both of the Ekiti State Revenue Service.
The workshop will take place at the Blessed Tansi Igbo Church, Oke Ila, by 10:00am.
The association noted that the initiative underscores its commitment to enlightening members on evolving tax policies and promoting lawful business practices, stressing that a proper understanding of tax laws is critical to business stability and maintaining cordial relationships with government authorities.
The Incorporated Igbo Traders Association has therefore called on traders, entrepreneurs, business owners, and other interested stakeholders across Ekiti State and its environs to attend the workshop in large numbers, assuring participants of practical insights and opportunities for direct engagement with tax officials
