Ilupeju Youth Development Association has elected new executives to direct the affairs of the Association for the next 3 years.
The election was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere at Ilupeju Ekiti Civic Centre where Engr. Femi Fagbemi was re- elected as the president of the Association for second term.
The President- elect promised to scout for more well meaning indigenes of the town to assist youths in the area of empowerment and employment. He reiterated that the wellbeing of Ilupeju youths at home and in diaspora is Paramount to his administration.
Engineer Fagbemi who said through the help of God, indigenes and non indigenes of the town, his administration was able to secure 26 federal and 16 state employment for the youths of the town respectively.
He added that hundreds of youths were empowered while moral and financial assistance were given to some students of tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools.
While applauding those that assisted him to achieve the feat, he prayed God to prosper them more Saying,” unflinching support of few out of thousands of indigenes of Ilupeju Ekiti and friends who are not from our town helped my regime to do these little we are appreciating today.”
Highlighting what is expected in his second term, Fagbemi said “My second tenure is to build on the legacy God has helped my regime to put in place and I will focus on more empowerment and employment for our teeming youths who did not benefit in my first regime. Honestly, if every youth is engaged, Ilupeju Ekiti will be peaceful and the town will witness tremendous developments because everybody will be willing to contribute to her development”
On behalf of the newly elected executives, Hon.Ojo Joseph, the Director of Media and Publicity of the Association pledged to serve the Association with good faith and support IDA to develop Ilupeju Ekiti.
