The National President of Ilupeju Youth Development Association, Engineer Femi Fagbemi has distributed free NECO forms to SS3 students in Ilupeju Ekiti.
Engr Fagbemi tasked the beneficiaries to study hard for them to come out in flying colours in the examination, saying their good performance would encourage the Association to continue the exercise.
The youth president gave the advice at this year free NECO form distribution to selected indigent students across the two public secondary schools in Ilupeju Ekiti. While reiterating why the exercise is a yearly event, Engr Fagbemi said “It’s widely believed that Education is the best legacy to give a child” And in this context, education is not cheap but expensive and most of our parents may not have the capacity to accord their children sound education because of their low financial status, that’s why we are doing this today. It’s our responsibility to ensure that our students have access to qualitative education ”
The president who underscores the importance of education said ,the association had to solicit for fund from well to do people in the town to give the beneficiaries lease of life. He urged them to make use of the best opportunity given them for others to be accorded such benefits in the nearest future.
Over thirty students of Ilupeju High School and Obalatan Commercial Grammar School benefitted.
The president appreciated Ololade Falasinnu Foundation who single handedly sponsored 2022 edition, while thanking those that supported 2024 edition. He prayed God to bless them. He said their efforts to make Ilupeju Ekiti great would never be forgotten as he called on others that are yet to support Ilupeju Youth Development drive to cue in on time.
Advising the students, High Chief Amos Ogunbiyi, the Oloja Odo- Egosi , Mr David Ilugbusi and the chairman of Ifeloju LCDA, represented by his vice, Chief Arawobarin Ayokunle lauded the gesture of the leadership of Ilupeju Youth Development Association as they charged the beneficiaries to face their studies for them to excel in their examination.
The Public Relations officer IYDA, Hon Joseph Ojo appreciated sponsors of the programme, he prayed God to enrich their pockets. He stressed that the free NECO form distribution to students started in 2022, courtesy Ololade Falasinnu Foundation.
