The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reaffirmed its commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections ahead of key polls in the country.
At a strategic meeting held in Abuja, the Commission reviewed preparations for the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council election, as well as the conduct of party primaries for the Ekiti and Osun State governorship elections.
Presiding over the meeting, INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, assured the people of Anambra State of a credible and transparent electoral process.
In addition, the Commission approved the promotion of 471 junior staff for the year 2025, following the recommendation of its Appointment, Promotion and Disciplinary Committee, in line with INEC’s Staff Conditions of Service
