A popular radio presenter, Ebiwonjumi Remi Okunola, popularly known as ‘Alausa Special’ who was earlier declared missing has been discharged from Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital where she was receiving treatment.
Alausa, who was discharged on Wednesday, June 15, at about 3:30pm left the hospital in good condition.
Mrs Shirley Atene, the Special Assistant to the wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, had earlier contacted the General Manager of Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State Mr. Olu Popoola to inform him about first lady’s concern on Alausa’s health condition.
A younger brother to the broadcaster, Samson Ebiwonjumi, said Mrs Shirley visited the hospital on the instruction of the First Lady and promised that the wife of the Governor had sent her to pay the hospital bills.
According to Shirley, the news of Alausa’s missing caught the attention of the First Lady which is why she was called upon to swing into action and get to the root of the matter, then seek justice for the ailing broadcaster.
PRECISE NEWS ONLINE recalls that Alausa was earlier declared missing by her husband and close colleagues on Sunday, June 5, after she could not return from a trip to Ibadan and all efforts to reach her through her mobile phone proved abortive.
It could be recalled that Alausa was later found on the same day after the news of her missing had gone viral. Alausa was brought to Ado Ekiti and was taken to her church by a man believed to be a good samaritan before she was taken to the emergency department of the Ekiti State University Teaching hospital due to her critical condition.
As at the time of filing this report, Alausa was hale and hearty.
