Key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State held a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The closed-door session, which is expected to produce a communiqué on its undisclosed agenda, marks the first major political outing of the party’s immediate past National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, since his resignation three months ago.
In attendance were prominent party figures, including the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, Senator Kawu Sumaila, members of the House of Representatives, as well as former and serving political office holders from the state.
Party insiders said the gathering underscores efforts by Kano APC leaders to reconcile interests, reinforce unity, and consolidate the party’s influence in the state as the 2027 polls draw closer.
