The Chairman of Moba Local Government, Hon. Bamidele Fadugba, has appealed to all residents of the council area to take full advantage of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration and revalidation exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement made available to journalists, Hon. Fadugba emphasized that the exercise is an opportunity for citizens whose PVCs are either defaced, misplaced, or require revalidation due to a change of residence, to regularize their voter status.
He also encouraged those who have never registered before to seize the chance to do so, particularly young people who have recently turned 18. According to him, participation in the electoral process begins with obtaining a valid PVC, which serves as a powerful instrument for exercising democratic rights.
“The PVC is not just a card; it is the key to effective participation in our democracy. I urge all eligible voters in Moba Local Government, especially our young people who have just attained voting age, to register without delay. Those who need to revalidate or replace their cards should also make use of this opportunity to visit designated centers for the exercise, he said.
The council boss assured residents of his continuous support and cooperation, noting that the development and future of the community depend largely on active political participation.
He further reiterated his administration’s commitment to sensitizing communities across the local government to ensure that no eligible resident is left out of the exercise.
