Chairman Moba Local Government , Hon. Bamidele Fadugba, has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his appointment to the Board of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) and his MSMES award for Outstanding Contribution to the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.
Governor Oyebanji’s appointment was announced during the National Economic Council meeting on Thursday as the representative for the Southwest zone on the board of directors for the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), a significant entity in Nigeria’s electricity sector.
Six state governors were nominated from each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones to serve on the board.
In a statement released by his Media team, Hon. Fadugba highlighted Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to the development of Ekiti State and Nigeria as a whole.
He posited that Governor Oyebanji’s appointment to the board of the NDPHC is a testament to his exceptional leadership and expertise in driving infrastructural development, adding that his engagement in the board, vision and commitment to improving power supply in Ekiti will undoubtedly help in bringing significant progress and benefits to the Southwest.
The Chairman noted that the NDPHC plays a crucial role in the development and management of Nigeria’s power sector and that Governor Oyebanji’s inclusion on the board is expected to enhance the company’s capacity to address the power challenges.
Hon. Fadugba also emphasized that the appointment is a recognition of the governor’s capabilities and dedication to national development.
In addition to this prestigious appointment, Governor Oyebanji was also recently honoured with an award for his Outstanding Contribution to the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The award acknowledges the governor’s efforts in creating an enabling environment for MSMEs to thrive, which has led to significant economic growth and job creation in Ekiti State.
Hon. Fadugba remarked that Oyebanji’s support for MSMEs has been exemplary, saying that his administration’s policies and initiatives have empowered countless entrepreneurs and small business owners, thereby fostering economic development and improving the livelihoods of many residents in Ekiti.
