The chairman of Moba Local Government Area; Hon Bamidele Fadugba, accompanied by his Vice, Hon. Najimudeen Adedokun, the management team, members of the legislative council, and other key stakeholders, embarked on a tour of revered Kabiyesi’s across the region.
The tour aimed to seek royal blessings, foster unity, and promote development within their communities. The journey began at ‘Ira-Ekiti’, where the chairman and his team engaged with the Kabiyesi in meaningful discussions about the town’s progress. A key focus of the visit was to seek the people’s participation in improving the local government’s internally generated revenue (IGR).
The chairman emphasized that enhanced IGR would accelerate growth and enable the administration to deliver on its developmental promises. The Kabiyesi offered prayers for success and urged the people to support the government’s initiatives.
At Epe-Ekiti, Osun-Ekiti, and Iro-Ekiti, similar discussions took place. The chairman highlighted the importance of community collaboration in increasing revenue through lawful contributions, which would directly impact infrastructural development, education, healthcare, and other essential services. The Kabiyesi’s of each community prayed for the administration’s success and encouraged their people to support these efforts for collective progress.
Also at Osan-Ekiti, where the Kabiyesi, Olosan of Osan; HRM. Oba Tajudeen Bamidele Jimoh commended the chairman n for his transparency and inclusive approach. He prayed for divine guidance and urged the people to see their contributions as investments in the future of their communities.
The chairman expressed his gratitude for the royal blessings and reiterated the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance. The presence of the management team and legislative council members underscored the unified effort to address the needs of Moba Local Government.
This tour not only strengthened the bond between the government and the traditional institutions but also served as a platform to encourage public participation in revenue generation for the growth and prosperity of Moba Local Government Area, the chairman stated.
